Advocacy - *Urgent* - Your Questions about the Bond Requested

Dear Cooper Families,

We hope you have had an enjoyable summer so far!

As you are aware, there will be a bond referendum vote on October 6, 2022. The PTA's role in this process will be to share with our school communities and neighbors accurate information on the identified work, how the work will be funded, and so on. Although our children are in elementary school, the improvements needed are also relevant to their eventual middle and high school experiences.

If you have not already done so, please review the website http://www.cherryhilltomorrow.com. On this website you will find out about the history and facts about this process. There is also a tax calculator. $363 million of critical improvements are needed in a total of 19 Cherry Hill Public Schools and the BOE and administration have been very transparent on why these updates are needed. We need to educate the community and prevent misinformation. We would like everyone in our town to make an informed decision on this topic.

The Zone PTA board reached out yesterday to have meeting with PTA Presidents tonight on this topic. BOE President Ben Ovadia and BOE VP Miriam Stern will be making an overview presentation to us.

If you have any questions you would like us to ask on your behalf, please submit them to president@jfcooperpta.org or Amanda LeeMasci, advocacy chair and Zone PTA Treasurer, at advovacy@jfcooperpta.org by 4:45pm. We will need to submit your questions by 5pm tonight for our 7pm meeting.

** If you miss this deadline, please send your questions anyway so that we can get back to you. **

We will also be providing more information to you on this topic at our first PTA Meeting of the 2022-2023 school year on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 6:30pm.

Thank you for your kind attention!

Shazia & Amanda
