General PTA Meeting at 7pm Today

 


Dear PTA Members,

A friendly reminder to please join us today, 9/29, in person at J.F. Cooper Elementary School in the library for our general PTA Meeting from 7pm - 8pm.

Bridget Moore, our VP of Ways and Means, will have "The Food Book" coupon books on hand if anyone would like to purchase one. They are $10 each. You can also grab a Back to School Night welcome pack if you missed one on Back to School Night :)

Most of you received the budget reports earlier in the month if membership dues had been paid by then. These reports will be referred to for your approval. Let us know if you have any questions regarding them - you are welcome to share your feedback/comments/concerns. For those who have not reviewed them yet, please see the reports under the General Membership meeting tab.

NJ PTA Diversity and Inclusion Survey

The NJPTA Diversity and Inclusion Committee has been hard at work trying to tailor their programs to meet the diversity and inclusion needs of families and local units. To this end, they have designed a survey to give themselves an idea of where they stand from the perspective of local families.

We were asked to share this survey in our community to help them engage and empower families and local units.

Cherry Hill Zone PTA Update

The moderator and timekeepers are members of the League of Women Voters, a non-partisan organization. The moderator had sole discretion in selection of questions submitted by the community. The League also provides information about upcoming elections. This is provided by their general information web site called Vote411.


There are three (3) ways to vote in the upcoming General Election...

  1. VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOT
    • Registered voters can apply for a vote-by-mail ballot by following the instructions found at VOTE.NJ.GOV or contacting their county clerk.
    • Remember: Vote-by-mail ballots CANNOT be returned to any early voting location or at any polling place for this election.
  2. IN-PERSON EARLY VOTING
    • This new option enables all registered voters to cast their ballot in person, using a voting machine, during a nine-day period prior to Election Day.
    • In-person early voting locations will be open Saturday, October 23 through Sunday, October 31. Hours will be Monday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. and Sunday, 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. No appointment necessary.
  3. AT YOUR POLLING PLACE ON ELECTION DAY
    • Vote in person at your polling place, from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 2.

      Water Ice Social on Friday, 9/10/21

       


      We are ordering from Rita's Water Ice. The flavors of water ice that will be served are mango, cherry, and cotton candy.


      These 3 flavors are FREE from wheat, soy, milk, egg, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, and shellfish.
