J.F. Cooper PTA Update/Reminders - Week of 10/1/23

 

• Join us at our first PTA meeting on 10/4 from 6:30pm - 7:30pm in-person and over Zoom. Agenda and meeting information will be posted on our website and e-mailed to all current PTA members. Meet fellow parents and learn more about what's happening at school. All are welcome but you must be a current PTA member to vote on the proposed budget.

• The Cooper School Calendar has important school dates and PTA events listed.
• Add this Cooper Family Calendar directly to your Google Calendar!

• Don’t forget to sign up for PTA Membership! You don’t have to be a volunteer - we need everyone’s support! We are looking for 100% membership from families and staff members!

• Please fill the 2023-2024 Volunteer Form out if you're interested in helping in any way. Not sure what each volunteer does? See a list of volunteer descriptions.

• Take a cooking break on our second Dine Out Day of the school year at CHOPT on 10/18 all day. Our school will receive 20% back! 

• Our Trunk or Treat event is on 10/21, from 4-6pm. Here is the 3 Page Flyer and Order Form (students received on blue paper). Here is the Trunk Host Information and Sign Up Form. Feel free to order Trunk or Treat tickets in the PTA Store if you prefer to use a credit card.

• Our Fall Scholastic Book Fair will be the week of October 23rd. Please stay tuned for a schedule, volunteer opportunities, and more information! In the meantime, feel free to set up your child's e-wallet by clicking on the link!

• We are still searching for more back to school photos for this year’s yearbook! E-mail Back to School and First Day of School photos to yearbook@jfcooperpta.org.

• Our yearbooks are designed for all K-5 students. Pre-order the 2023-2024 yearbook for 10% off on the TreeRing website throughout the month of September. If you do not have a TreeRing account yet, go to https://tr5.treering.com/validate and use passcode: 1014806030344299 The form is in your welcome packet from the first week of school. You can also print the Yearbook Pre-Order Form.

• You can easily support us without donating any extra money by using the RaiseRight app.  Read more about RaiseRight here. THIS IS OUR MOST SUCCESSFUL FUNDRAISER TO FUND ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS FOR THE KIDS. Please help us out!! Ask questions if you have any!

• You can also help us raise funds by earning Box Tops while you shop for groceries and by donating clothes and shoes in the recycling bin in the parking lot at school.

• We also collect books you are ready to pass on to students in need in the South Jersey and Philadelphia area in our beautiful Book Smiles bin located in the foyer at school. Send books in anytime.

BOE Candidates Forum - Submit Your Questions

Hi Everyone,

Please see this message below from Zone PTA and submit your questions by 9pm tonight (9/26) if interested.

"The Cherry Hill Zone PTA and the NJ League of Women Voters are honored to host the Cherry Hill Board of Education Candidates Forum on  Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 7:00-9:00pm. This will be a VIRTUAL event. This is the voters' opportunity to get to know the candidates for the Cherry Hill Board of Education.

Since this is a VIRTUAL event, we will be unable to take questions from the audience during the Forum.  If you would like to ask the Candidates a question(s), please submit them VIA THE FORM SENT TO YOU VIA E-MAIL. To submit more than one question, complete the form, one question at a time.  After you hit "Submit", the form will reset and you can submit additional questions. Please submit all inquiries by 9:00pm Tuesday , September 26, 2023.  

*Please be advised that there are 7 candidates and only 2 hours of time. The League of Women Voters will do the best they can to ask questions that are impactful and productive.  Thank you for your participation.*

• Our Back to School Water Ice Night Friday, 9/8, was a great success! 400 cups of water ice were served and hundreds of happy smiles seen!!
• Picture Day is on 9/14!! Don't forget!!

• Date Change: Our November General PTA Meeting is now on 11/14 (not 11/15)
