  • Please continue to share the word about Fair Funding! We need to increase awareness regarding Fair Funding for CHPS! Here are some simple actions that can be done to keep the momentum going!

  1. Education on why Fair Funding is so important! Share the Fair Funding for CHPS website & Fair Funding for CHPS Facebook page

  2. Attend Fair Funding Committee meetings! The committee meets the last Thursday of every month during the school year.  The next meeting  is Thursday April 29th at 7:00pm via Zoom.

Providing a safe environment is a partnership between parents/guardians and the school district.   Please remind your school communities:

  • To review the Travel Guidelines for Students when traveling out of town.

    • Alert the school nurse about any planned travel to discuss the required post-quarantine guideline, prior to sending student back to school.

  • Use the COVID-19 At Home Screening prior to sending students to school

  • Report to the nurse if student or any household member tests positive for COVID, or if they have an actual or suspected COVID exposure

  • Keep students home when they are sick

  • Promptly pick up students if they become sick at school

    • The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE), in a joint venture with GovLab at New York University, is seeking input from New Jersey educators, students and caregivers to share their views on the biggest challenges of educating in 2021. This New Jersey specific questionnaire is one of a series of national, online engagements, focusing on the problems, solutions and challenges facing our education system.

    • From April 5 – April 30, 2021, the NJDOE encourages all educators, as well as caregivers and students, to take the appropriate survey on the YourEducationYourVoice platform. If possible, the department asks that you please use Google Chrome browser or Mozilla Firefox.

  • Thanks to an extension of federal funds, CHPS distribution of FREE meals to ALL CHERRY HILL STUDENTS (public, private and home-schooled) continues on every Monday. Pick up 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches and 10 snacks per student from noon-2:00pm and 4:00-6:00pm at High School East or High School West -- no income threshold required!

    • Friendly reminder: Please mask up when picking up FREE meals/snacks! WE want to keep you & the Aramark team safe & healthy as they hand out meals to 1,000+ cars each Monday while being unable to maintain 6 feet of distance. These are state, Cherry Hill, Aramark & CDC guidelines.
