From April 5 – April 30, 2021, the NJDOE encourages all educators, as well as caregivers and students, to take the appropriate survey on the YourEducationYourVoice platform. If possible, the department asks that you please use Google Chrome browser or Mozilla Firefox.
The Community Bulletin Board, found on the District website, offers information on programs, activities and events in the Cherry Hill area. The most recent Bulletin Board items include Big Brothers Big Sisters' call for youth participants, and YMCA of the Pines Summer Camps information. Cherry Hill Education Association is generously sponsoring a middle grade author event, to which we cordially invite you. As some of you know, we were not able to book our original author, Tiffany Jewell, due to scheduling conflicts. However, we are proud to share that Corretta Scott King Honoree, poet, speaker, author, and educator, Kwame Alexander, will officially be our visiting author this spring.
Kwame is a New York Times Bestselling author of 35 books, including the Caldecott Medal and Newbery Honor-winning picture book, The Undefeated, and his Newberry medal-winning middle grade novel, The Crossover. Kwame opened a library and health clinic in Ghana, as a part of LEAP for Ghana, an international literacy program he co-founded. Kwame is also the Founding Editor of the printing house Versify, which aims to "Change the World One Word at a Time".
