Cherry Hill Zone PTA Update - Week of 3/1/21

ZONE update:

  • The Fair Funding Committee Meeting  met last Thursday. The meeting came on the heels of the numbers being released by the state.  The Cherry Hill School District will receive $24,698,590 for 2021-2022. That’s a 26.4% increase over last year!  Great work by the Dr. Meloche, BOE and Fair Funding committee! But the work is not done and we have a long way to go!  We had a fantastic turnout with strong representation from all school levels, district administration, BOE, CHEA and community members at large.  We need to continue involving parents and community members and increase our voices to the State!!

  • The Districts that have had strong community support are the most successful in maintaining their Fair Funding.  Fair Funding for CHPS website & Fair Funding for CHPS Facebook page provide a wonderful education on Fair Funding in the state and Cherry Hill.

  • The next Fair Funding Committee is Thursday March 25th at 7:00pm via Zoom.  The committee meets the last Thursday of every month during the school year.

  • As a reminder, all PTA meetings are to be virtual until further notice.
